Understanding the datamodel

Data is split into three main chunks: Data processors, Systems and GDPR processes.

Understanding templates

The different types of data processors

The system works with four different types of data processors.
The ones generated from a template, ones from templates with shared audit, the fully managed ones and the custom ones.

Data processor templates

A template based data processor will allways be cloned, when a user indicates that they use one of their systems, and don't already have a copy.

Shared audit documentation

When using data processor templates it is possible to set the data processor up to use shared audit documentation. This setup requires two template instances, one that gets cloned and references the second instance, where the audit documentation will be uploaded. The second instance can be a fully managed dataprocessor.

Fully managed data processors

A managed data processor will never be cloned, when a user indicates that they use one of their systems, they will just gain access to view the information.

Custom data processors

A custom data processor is one that the user creates and manages themselves.
